Reading the shower pan photos
A shower pan is the floor of a stall shower. The pans here are textured fiberglass and acrylic with a raised anti-slip pattern, the kind installed with a tiled or fiberglass wall above. Because the pan is the surface that sits in standing water every day, it usually wears out long before the walls do.
In the Before frames the raised texture has worn gray and rough, the corners have collected dark staining, and the area around the drain is pitted. One pan shows soap-scum staining spreading up the base of the walls.
In the After frames the pan is smooth, white and glossy edge to edge, with the drain trim exposed and a clean transition to the wall tile. Where a customer wants grip added back to the floor, a slip-resistant treatment is offered as a separate service.
